As the World continues to stage a walk away from the pandemic currently ravaging the planet, community leaders of thought have continued to find means possible to ameliorate the sufferings of their people.
Preposterous to the horrendous claim circulating around air that there are not palliative support to the people of the kingdom during the COVID 19 pandemic prevalent over the world, the Monarch in Orile kemta Adabonyin in Ogun State, His royal Majesty, Oba (Ambassador) Adetokunbo okikiola Tejuosho has been working around the clock to bring succor to his subjects as government directive for a lockdown persist in the state.
Oba Adetokunbo Tejuosho in his personal endeavor has been alive to his duties of ensuring that, his people get food on their tables. Kabiyesi has reached out to his wide range of friends to come to the aid of his people as the lockdown orders continue. Many of them has responded enticingly and donated palliatives in different forms take for instance Captain Cocker and Mr Olasubomi Harrison of arizonal Farms sent in several grains of rice in 50kg bags, Hon Ladi Adebutu of Solomon Kensington Agro Allied Farm donated live pigs, Prince Oluwole Ajayi of Kazona Maycroft, Chief Bolaji Esho of Eldorado group Chief Bolaji Esho of Eldorado group Hon Olumide Aderinokun also donated food stuff of different packages,
On Sunday the 10th of May, 2020 It was a dream come true as the team of representatives of Feed Africa Foundation from the United State of America stormed the ancient town of Adabonyin to distribute food items as palliatives to the people of the communities.
The team arrived at the Palace of the Olu orile kemta as early as 08: 00 hrs on Sunday to the admiration of the community members. The Monarch was present with Adabonyin in council to warmly receive and while the cultural dance group in the community entertained the Feed Africa foundation team with dance and praises while maintaining social distancing.
The distribution was equitable as each household got enough food to cushion the effect of the lockdown order to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
Since the beginning of the lockdown order by the government, Oba Tokunbo Tejuosho has continued to sensitize his subjects on the need for social distancing, regular washing of hands and maintaining of personal hygiene. He has even taken the campaigns to the nooks and crannies of the communities under his watch.
While thanking the Feed African Foundation team, the Monarch stated that he is overwhelmed by the empathy, love, and compassion shown to his people by the team. He said he would be looking forward to partnering with the Feed Africa Foundation on a mission that could further strengthen the tides they both enjoy.
Oba Tejuosho in his statement said, I am elated with the generosity of the Feed Africa Foundation and hopefully looking forward to a partnership that works. He stressed that he would be willing to join hands with the team to bring more relief and development to his people.
The monarch equally extended his sincere appreciation to Uncle and Bunmi Tejuosho for their relentless effort and unflinching support of all times.
While closing his remarks on the kind gesture of the feed Africa foundation team, kabiyesi said, we are satisfied with the initiative to feed our people at this critical time in our history. We would come out of this pandemic better and stronger, he said.
